Satisfactory Academic Progress
What does SAP stand for?
All LACCD students who receive financial aid should review the SAP Policy detailed within the links below:
SAP stands for Satisfactory Academic Progress toward their educational goal. Aid recipients need to maintain these standards to ensure not only the timely completion of an educational goal but also to preserve the financial aid they qualify for.

In the event circumstances change during or between semesters, you may be required to return all or a portion of your financial aid refund for these reasons:
- You completed the semester with ALL non-passing grades (any combination of F's, W's and NP's).
- You dropped your classes.
- You were administratively excluded from your classes.
Summer and Winter Financial Aid
Summer and Winter terms are included in the evaluation of Satisfactory Academic Progress standards.
